  1. BayDeskThanks for calling Joe's Auto. This is the shop's AI assistant, and this call is recorded. How can I help you?

  2. CallerHi, my check engine light came on and the car's shaking a little. Can someone look at it this week?

  3. BayDeskSorry to hear that. The shop opens Monday at 8, and I can have a service writer call you first thing. If the light is flashing or the shaking is bad, it's safest not to drive it. Can I get your name and what you're driving?

  4. CallerDana. It's a 2016 Honda Accord.

  5. BayDeskThanks, Dana. I'm sending this to the team now. Expect a call Monday morning.

New message for Joe's Auto from Dana · 2016 Honda Accord · Check engine light, car shaking · Call back Monday morning

Sample call. Names and numbers are made up.

Works with the line you already have: cell, landline or VoIP, as long as it can forward calls.

Texts the online booking link you already use.

The phone always rings at the worst time.

Each of these calls is someone deciding whether to try the next shop. BayDesk picks up, so they don't have to.

What are missed calls worth to your shop?

Your numbers, your math. Nothing here is a statistic.

Your phone system or carrier's call report shows last month's missed calls. This estimate uses only the numbers you enter.

On every call

Handled the way your front desk would.

You set the rules once. BayDesk follows them on the next call, and you can change them anytime.

Books the easy jobs while they're still on the line

Oil changes, inspections, tires: you pick the jobs. BayDesk asks if it can text your online booking link, sends it from your shop's line, and the customer picks a time. Your calendar stays yours.

Texts start once your shop's U.S. carrier registration is approved. Until then, BayDesk takes a message instead.

Takes a real message on everything else

Diagnostics, strange noises, big jobs: BayDesk gets the name, the vehicle, the problem in the caller's own words and the best time to call back. It reads the number back to get it right, then sends it to your team.

Gets urgent calls to a person

A tow-in, a car that isn't safe to drive, an upset customer: during business hours BayDesk transfers the call to the number you choose. After hours, it marks the message URGENT.

Tow-in: car won't start on I-35

“Connecting you to the team now. One moment.”

URGENT

After hours, it's the first thing your team sees.

Example. During business hours, to the number you choose.

Keeps the junk off your phone

Sales pitches, robocalls and wrong numbers get a polite no. They show up as Screened in your dashboard, so you see what you didn't miss.

Honest with your customers

It never pretends to be a person.

Every caller hears this first:

“Thanks for calling Joe's Auto. This is the shop's AI assistant, and this call is recorded. How can I help you?”

That's how your customers know what they're talking to, and that the call is recorded.

BayDesk always

  • Says it's your shop's AI assistant and that the call is recorded, before anything else
  • Answers only with what you've told it: hours, services, what you don't work on
  • Tells callers not to drive a car that isn't safe, and to call 911 if anyone is in danger
  • Sends your team every message, with the recording and transcript

BayDesk never

  • Quote a price you haven't given it
  • Diagnose a car or guess what's wrong
  • Promise a tow, a time or a repair
  • Pretend to be a person

Questions shop owners ask

Do I keep my shop's phone number?

Yes. Your number stays on your sign, your trucks and Google. You forward calls to your BayDesk line, and you choose when: after a few rings, at lunch, after hours, on weekends or all day. You can turn forwarding off from your phone the same way.

How do I forward my calls?

Most phone carriers use a short dial code, and business phone systems have a forwarding setting. After your line is activated, your dashboard shows the steps for your carrier and you make a test call to check it.

Is there a setup fee?

Yes, a one-time $449. It covers activating your own local BayDesk line, configuring your assistant from your shop details (hours, services, prices you choose to share, booking link) and the step-by-step forwarding check with a test call. It's covered by the same 7-day money-back guarantee.

Will callers know they're talking to AI?

Yes. BayDesk introduces itself as your shop's AI assistant at the start of every call, and if a caller asks, it says plainly that it isn't a person. Callers who want a person can leave a message, and during business hours urgent calls can be transferred to the number you choose.

Are calls recorded?

Yes, so you can listen back and check what was said. BayDesk tells every caller at the start that the call is recorded, which matters in states that require consent from everyone on the call.

Does it book jobs in Tekmetric or my shop software?

BayDesk texts callers your online booking link, so it works with any scheduling tool that has one. The appointment lands wherever it lands today. Direct connections to shop management software are on our roadmap.

Will it quote prices or promise things?

No price unless you add it in your settings. BayDesk won't promise a tow, a diagnosis or a completion time. For anything it can't handle, it takes the caller's name, vehicle, issue and best callback time and emails your team right away.

When do text messages start?

U.S. carriers require every business that texts customers to register first, and booking-link texts start once your shop is registered. Until then, BayDesk still answers every call and takes messages, and your team gets the details by email.

What if I use up my minutes?

Your plan includes 150 call minutes a month, and we email you when 80% are used and again when they run out. Need more? Add prepaid extra minutes anytime (100 for $19 or 250 for $49). They're used only after your included minutes and don't expire while you're subscribed. If everything runs out, BayDesk keeps answering for 30 courtesy minutes, then pauses until the month resets or you add minutes. Nothing is charged unless you buy it.

Can I cancel?

Anytime, online, from your Hotmart purchases page. No fee and no phone call. It stops at the end of the month you've paid for. If BayDesk isn't for you in the first 7 days, you get a full refund.

Let BayDesk take the next call your team can't.

Keep your number. Set it up online in about 10 minutes. If it's not for you, ask for a full refund within 7 days.
